OKAY so I am not familiar with SMT/Persona very much at all, but I have a basic idea about Dual Personas, so do correct me if I'm off at all!

So for planning, uhh... Otonashi's Soul Persona is a supportive healing goddess... |D;

Meanwhile, Aoi's is technically built for attack, but her skills are also extremely healing-based... |Da;

Lessee. Aoi's Persona is level 2, so that will be the level of their Dual Persona. Hers is also from Buddhist mythology in case that... influences any ideas for a mythological figure?

Picking out a card is also necessary, so giving a glance over this page... Maybe Seven of Cups or Nine of Coins/Pentacles? Unless you see something else that would fit too!

I like the Nine of Coins/Pentacles or maybe the Ace of Swords?

Otonashi's is the Greek goddess of healing, Aoi's is similar but with poison specifically, umm... What about something like this? There's also another Buddhist figure of medicine, here! Finding clear pictures is a bit hard though, aha... If I'm totally off base here though, please let me know!

Bhaisajyaguru seems like he might be a little more fitting in that he has people helping him, which is important for Aoi and Otonashi at least in the first part of their attempts to save people maybe?

Bhaisajyaguru is fine with me! I think The Twelve Vows suit, but I can also keep looking around to see if there's anything else that suits better? I'm not very well-versed on Buddhist figures...

Personally, I'd like to do something playing off how one of them is (well, was) a servant, and the other's the one who had servants, somehow. Or that they're technically both in that sort of "in charge of others" role at this point in their lives, status and all that.

It's kind of a stretch, but perhaps Sarpedon, who basically gave a Noblesse Oblige speech at one point ("noble ancestry constrains to honorable behavior; privilege entails to responsibility for the less privileged" and all)?

Also, their Dual Persona will be level 2 thanks to Aoi's level! And looking over the minor arcana... Eight of coins/pentacles maybe? Hrrrrrmmm.

Ooh. I think I like that, honestly!

Avitus's own soul Persona is Ophelia, of Hamlet fame -- skills based around helping others and getting out of/avoiding battle, for the most part, and... generally being useless in and of itself, to Avitus. (Since when did he take care of himself, aside from avoiding his problems?) Definitely support type, for protecting those around him and helping everyone get out of a situation when they're in over their heads.

So if that's any help for what kind of skills he'd contribute...?

Well, we can both contribute a skill at least from their own skillsets. Since Avitus' is a support-type, Aoi can probably contribute with a physical attack skill: Agneyastra.

As for her New Skill representing her relationship with him... Perhaps something like First Treat - inflicts small ice damage and heals medium damage to herself and Avitus, in memory of the ice cream occasion?

And since Avitus is apparently one of Aoi's unlucky Arcana she won't be able to use his new skill, aha...

And the cross-canon CR skill, well... She comes from modern-day Tokyo except + demons. So. Yes.

Oh man. That's just cute!

Okay, I'm going to have to think on his skill for a bit.

For their cross-skill... he's from a post-apocalyptic somewhat-steampunk-mostly-medieval not!Europe-ish place overrun with vampires, most of which are basically nasty animals. And his clan's pretty well declared themselves the humans' guardians, while he's kept that servant-ish mentality overall.

Not sure which of those would be a better skill for playing off of what, but I'm thinking something along the sentiment of protecting/being of service to others? Maybe his New Skill would be something using the sentiment that being with her helps him to be stronger/makes problems seem lessened? Like... some sort of overall stats boost, or status relief? Or maybe lowering the enemies' stats?

(Or I might just need to go to bed and figure this out later. That's probably the smart thing here.)

Stat boosts could be good to play around with, yeah! Maybe... empowering with increased speed or attack or something? Hmm!

Aaaah cross-canon CR is difficult though. I'm seriously blanking on any ideas at all for it...
