Personality:
Aoi is all you could ask for in a student council president. She is kind, understanding, and responsible; she carries out all of her duties without error and treats everyone with respect. She comes off very much as a refined lady, no doubt contributed to by her family’s traditional ways. Due to all of this with the addition of her good looks, she’s very popular among her peers and often doesn’t have the heart to turn down any of the guys who so commonly put love letters in her shoe-locker.

However, do not mistake her for having a weak heart. When it comes down to it, Aoi has a steely resolve, and she will defend her morals to the bitter end. When she obtains her powers from the dragon stream and realizes that demons do in fact exist, her first thought is to use these powers to protect the people. It is at her insistence that her classmates work together with their newfound powers to defend the population of Tokyo, which causes her to butt heads with the punk Kyouichi who would much rather fight for the thrill, as well as her own best friend Komaki who finds the whole thing far too dangerous for some high school kids to get involved with. While she never quite gets the whole team onboard, they do begin to grudgingly accept her ideals and do what they can to help.

The reason for this is rooted deep in an incident that occurred when she was young. There was a fire, and a friend of Aoi’s was trapped in a room screaming for Aoi’s help; however, Aoi herself had been trapped under burning rubble at the time, and was unable to come to that friend’s aid. Once given the ability, she becomes utterly determined to protect every person she can, regardless of if that person is good or evil. She even goes so far to believe that their very souls must be saved no matter what, and grieves deeply whenever the team fails to rescue such a person (even if said person was previously trying to murder them all along with the rest of Tokyo). It is to the point that she feels pity even for the main antagonist of the series, despite his kidnapping and brainwashing of her and, well. Y’know. Multiple attempts to kill them all.

At the same time, because her powers are not suited to combat, she has a difficult time really making use of them well during battle. Aoi wants to be up in front with all of the others, but they constantly push her back and bar her from joining the fight personally. It’s a tough pill for her to swallow, and if not watched carefully, it is entirely possible she will move ahead and try to get in on the fight herself in order to contribute more beyond barriers or some minor healing.

When around others, she does her best to keep up her cheerful, kind demeanor. She enjoys chatting with friends and the usual high schooler things, and thanks to her genuine concern for those around her, she has little problem befriending others. Although she often worries about the wellbeing of people in general as well as her inability to protect ALL THE CITIZENS, she keeps these problems to herself and will only admit them to those she not only trusts, but can feel a special kind of camaraderie with (which is why the similarly-minded Tatsuma is the one who hears her backstory and not her best friend Komaki).

Resurrection – Mind (P…robably works best if the corpse is still fresh, and will also mess up her eye something fierce whenever she uses it. The more people she heals, the worse it gets. I am fine with nerfing this!)
Barrier – Mind (Creates a barrier that will negate all attacks as long as she can hold it. Attacking the barrier causes stress on her mentally and can make her drop it.)
Levitation – Mind (The ability to levitate people/objects, usually to stop them from smashing into a bloody stain on the ground.)
Memory Wipe – Mind (Can cause the target to forget a specific event; however, the memories can eventually come back, particularly if a similar event occurs.)
Empowered – Mind(?) (Due to the power gifted by the dragon stream, she can perform feats impossible to ordinary humans such as scaling skyscrapers in a single leap.)
